THRYBERGH ST PETER

Welcome to St Peterís Church.

St Peterís was opened in 1909, built for the growing population of the time. It is a brick-built building using Conisborough bricks, dressed with Mexborough stone from the quarry of Messers James Cavill & Co. The internal woodwork to roof principals are of pitchpine.

There is a lovely triptych stained glass east window picturing St George, St Peter & Christ. Other windows are of cathedral glass in diamonds.
There are some interesting monuments on the walls, including war memorials for the First and Second World Wars. There is a stone font.
